The Gerald Ryan Outreach Center (Wyandanch, Long Island, NY) with the support of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church (right next door) hosted another “Thanksgiving Box Brigade” packaging extravaganza on Sunday, November 23, 2014…..so that those who are in need or have little disposable income can have a complete and nutritious Thanksgiving dinner. Literally hundreds of people from the parish community, from Temple Beth Torah in Melville, and several other local organizations including the Girl Scouts and the Dix Hills Fire Department (and many others) made the event a great success–producing on a low-tech assembly line several hundreds of Thanksgiving packages for local families.
